Student in University of Waterloo residence passes away

Yesterday afternoon Waterloo Regional Police and the fire department’s hazardous materials unit were called to a University of Waterloo residence on Seagram Dr to investigate the death of a female student, according to CTV. The cause of death is still under investigation.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of one of our students and express our heartfelt condolences to the student’s family and friends. We are respecting the family’s wish for privacy and will not be commenting further, said Carleen Carroll, associate vice-president, communications at the University of Waterloo on Friday, via email.
