Hey guys,
To the candidates: Good luck tonight! You all did well yesterday – just smile and enjoy this experience! ๐
I have two questions:
1) The Integrated Planning and Resource Management (IPRM) process has recently been launched at Laurier. How will this affect students? And how will the Students’ Union respond under your leadership?
2) The auditor’s report outlined the challenging picture ahead when it comes to Students’ Union finances. Under your leadership, what will you do to maintain the core competencies of the organization, in particular, advocacy?
-
For all the candidates; what does Policy Governance mean to you, and what is the policy governance heirarchy?
-
As a BoD candidate, I am often faced with questions that pertain to the operational facet of WLUSU. If elected, what would you do to make students more aware of the role of Students’ Union?

I have a few questions!
How do Peer Help Line and Student Life Line compliment each other? Why spend the money on Student Life Line instead of hiring another counselor or paying other counseling services in Waterloo to take on students? Is the decision to have Student Life Line next year going to be based on the number of calls received this year?

Chris soft ball much lol

Every question will be a soft ball for someone, each candidate is going to have an advantage in specific areas. Policy Governance is absolutely pivotal to understanding the role of President, if they don’t know what it is they don’t know what their role would be.

Hello all, we apologize for the ads popping up. Here are a couple possible solutions: http://forums.jglm.org/showthread.php?5512-Watch-Ustream-AD-FREE-on-Firefox! (for Firefox users), http://www.ehow.com/how_8320839_block-ads-ustream.html (for Windows users). We’ll keep looking for more.

Adblockplus may very well work: http://adblockplus.org/

Another possible solution is to make an account on UStream.com, log in, and watch.

A big issue with the students union budgeting method (zero based budgeting) is that a majority of the cash in-flows occur at the beginning of the year. Having said that what is your plan for budgeting at the beginning of the year to ensure that you are still able to achieve your end year goals and remain relevant without going over budget/taking on additional debt?

Only 91 people currently viewing this, maybe there is an issue with getting the information out there.

What should the relationship be between student associations within an individual faculty and the Students’ Union. In particular control over how fees are spent and who represents the students on a faculty to student level. Examples CICDA, FOSAA, SBESS, etc.

Sorry for the glitch. We’ve still got about 20 minutes left. Thanks for sticking with us.
