Women’s basketball falls to 1-3

The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks’ women’s basketball team recorded their third loss of the season on Saturday as they fell 71-59 to the Queen’s Gaels in front of their home crowd.

The Hawks didn’t seem to have an answer for Gaels’ veteran Erin Skippon who put up a game-high 22 points in the victory.

With the loss, the Hawks now sit tied for second-last in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) west division. They will look to even out their record this weekend when they travel to Ottawa to play the Carleton Ravens on Friday and the Ottawa Gee Gees on Saturday.
