WLU was part of local Royal Medieval Fair

Re: Traveling through medieval times, Sept. 23, 2009

I am glad that The Cord ran a story about the Royal Medieval Fair in its last issue.
However, the story omitted to mention that Laurier was represented at the Fair on Saturday Sept. 19 by members of the Medieval Studies Program, The Medieval Students’ Society, and several alumni.

As in past years, our attractive booth proved to be a popular destination where demonstrations of medieval sewing techniques and battle-combat took place.

We also distributed information concerning the university and its Medieval Studies Program to dozens of fair attendees. I want to thank the volunteers who gave their time and proved to be exceptional advocates for WLU.

Serving the Waterloo campus, The Cord seeks to provide students with relevant, up to date stories. We’re always interested in having more volunteer writers, photographers and graphic designers.
