UW players allowed to transfer

After finding out that their season had been cancelled on Monday, the Waterloo Warriors’ football team received a bit of good news today as they learned that they might just be able to play football this fall. It just won’t be in a Warriors uniform.

In a ruling announced earlier today, the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Eligibility Committee and decreed that under Policy, the suspension of the program enables students who have completed at least one year at UW to transfer to another CIS school and join the football team immediately.

Serving the Waterloo campus, The Cord seeks to provide students with relevant, up to date stories. We’re always interested in having more volunteer writers, photographers and graphic designers.
