A SCS officer attended to the 2nd floor in response to a report of a female having passed out. On SCS arrival she had come to and was left in the company of her friends to await a later appointment with Health Services. No medical assistance required.

Theft Under $5,000:

Location: Residence
SCS is investigating the theft of a bicycle that was reportedly stolen over the weekend from the underground parking garage.

Unwanted Person:
Date: Oct. 2, 2010 @ 1:09 p.m.
Location: University Stadium
A SCS officer and a WRPS officer dealt with three males (non-students) attempting to scale the fence in order to watch the ‘Homecoming’ football game. They were sent on their way.

Unknown Call Requiring Police Assistance:
Date: Oct. 4, 2010 @ 6:31 p.m.
Location: Student Services Building – Dining Hall
Person(s) unknown placed a call from the emergency telephone in the elevator. A SCs officer responded but was unable to locate anyone in the area requiring assistance.

Alarm:
Date: Oct. 5, 2010 @ 3:37 a.m.
Location: Residence
SCS officers and members from the Waterloo Fire Rescue attended to the student residence in response to a fire alarm. The cause of the alarm turned out to be a faulty heat detector.

A SCS officer attended to the a/m location in response to an activated security alarm. Everything on scene appeared to be in order. Cause of the alarm is unknown.

A SCS officer and ERT members assisted a student suffering from an anxiety attack. After an assessment by ERT she was transported to Health Services for observation.

Location: Northdale Campus
A SCS officer responded to an activated security alarm. The premises were secure and it was discovered that a Physical Resource employee had been on scene just prior to SCS arrival.

A SCS officer responded to an activated security alarm. Legitimate personnel from the Health and Safety Office were located on the premises and found to be responsible.

Drugs:

Location: Residence
A complaint about drug usage was received in a student residence. A SCS officer accompanied by a R.L.A.C. attended and a small quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia was seized for destruction. An 18 year old male student will be dealt with by Residence Life for the infraction.

A complaint was received about drug usage in a student residence. SCS officers and a R.L.A.C. attended and a small quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia was seized for destruction. Two 18 year old male students will be dealt with by Residence Life for the infraction.

Liquor Offences:
Date: Oct. 6, 2010 @ 1:46 a.m.
Location: Residence
A complaint was received about liquor infractions in a student residence. SCS officers and a R.L.A.C. attended and a quantity of alcohol was seized for destruction. Two 18 year old male students were issued Provincial Offence Notices for ‘Person under 19 yrs. of age having liquor’.

Property Damage:
Date: Oct. 6, 2010 @ 8:31 a.m.
Location: Parking Lot #14
SCS is investigating a report of a vehicle damaged while parked at the a/m location. It appears an unknown vehicle possible collided with the parked vehicle and the driver left the scene. Damage is reportedly of a minor nature.

Location: Frank C Peters Building
A complaint was received about a student not feeling well on the 1st floor. SCS officers responded and discovered an 18 year old female complaining about abdominal pains. She was taken to Health Services for treatment and observation.

Property Damage:
Date: Oct. 6, 2010 @ 3:10 p.m.
Location: 325 Spruce St.
A complaint was received about damage to the building caused by paint balls. SCS officers and a W.R.P.S. officer attended. The paint balls had been fired from an adjacent apartment building. The tenants were spoken to by W.R.P.S. and given a verbal warning.

Location: Parking Lot #19
SCS was called to investigate a hit and run motor vehicle collision. Damages to the parked vehicle were minor in nature. The responsible vehicle had left the scene. The responsible driver was located the following day and the matter has been settled between both parties.

Property (Lost and Found):

Location: Residence
A 17” ivory coloured clay statue (replica of Michelangelo’s Pieta) depicting the Virgin Mary cradling the dead body of Jesus was located at the front entrance. The head of the Virgin Mary was knocked off and missing. It’s unknown where this statue came from. Tagged and held.

Location: Arts E Wing
A security alarm was activated on one of the consoles in one of the multi-media classrooms. A SCS officer responded and the cause was attributed to equipment malfunction.

Date: Oct. 7, 2010 @ 8:24 p.m.
Location: Residence
A complaint was received about a number of youths smoking marihuana at the rear of the building. They were gone upon SCS arrival.

Injured/Sick Person:

A report was received about a 22 year old female student requiring medical attention for breathing problems. SCS, ERT and EMS attended and after being medically assessed, she declined any further medical attention and was walked home by Foot Patrol.

An 18 year old female student complained a skin condition on her feet. SCS and ERT attended. She was assessed, treated by ERT members and advised to start treating the condition with prescription medication which had already been made available.

Special constables and EMS attended at the Library in response to a report of a female experiencing severe abdominal pain.

ASSISTANCE CALL FROM PUBLIC

Location: Schlegel Centre
Special Constable Service received a report from a concerned faculty member regarding a student who has not been attending a number of his classes and was not responding to email messages sent. The student was located and is fine. He indicated that he had been missing classes due to illness.
