Laurier student arrested in connection with incident on campus

On July 8, a man was reportedly engaging in an “indecent act” on the Wilfrid Laurier University campus.

According to an e-mail sent out to Laurier students on July 10, the man was also seen following two female university employees at around 5 a.m

Special Constable Service, in connection with the Waterloo Regional Police Service, pleaded for information from the public. On the afternoon of July 11, another e-mail was sent out to students informing them that an arrest had been made in relation to the incident.

Bryan Thorpe, who police say is a registered student at Laurier, was arrested and appeared in court on July 11. He is facing multiple charges of criminal harassment and committing an indecent act.
