Laurier student Matthew Mills passes away

On July 30, Wilfrid Laurier University confirmed the passing of student Matthew Mills. 

Mills was a digital media and journalism student at the Laurier Brantford campus and was two credits away from completing his degree. While he endured chronic pain, he had previously earned two graduate certificates from Mohawk College. 

“The loss of a student has a significant impact on the entire Laurier community. Support is available for students and others impacted by the loss of Matthew,” Laurier said in a statement.
