Hawks women’s hockey one game from perfection

After wins over the Queen’s Gaels and the UOIT Ridgebacks on the weekend, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks women’s hockey team find themselves on the verge of an undefeated season.

Sitting at 26-0, the Hawks will play their final game of the regular season this afternoon against the Windsor Lancers. If the purple and gold come away with a win, they will post the second perfect season in Laurier hockey history, with the last one coming from the women’s team in 2001-02.

Last season, the Hawks found themselves in the exact same position, they were 26-0 going into the final game of the regular season, and lost 3-2 to the York Lions.
