Wilfrid Laurier University’s men’s baseball team recently took home silver in the OUA championship final game.

The match, which was played against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues, ended with a final score of 8-3 for the Varsity Blue.

It was the final match-up of a 15-game tournament hosted by Laurier over the course of this past weekend.

Pitcher and Athlete-of-the-Week, Kyle Symington, was on the mound for a majority of the day, bringing in four hits, two runs and four strikeouts over the course of three innings played.

This loss marks the end of an eventful and exciting season for both the Golden Hawks as well as star pitcher Kyle Symington, who went from being last year’s rookie of the year to securing a spot as an important staple on the men’s baseball team.
