Sunny Chan resigns from WLUSU board

At today’s Wilfrid Laurier University Students Union board of directors meeting, the board approved the resignation of director Sunny Chan.

On Feb. 5, at 5:00 a.m. just hours after it was announced that he came in last place in the presidential election, Chan sent chair of the board Saad Aslam his letter of recognition.

“He didn’t believe he had the support of Laurier student’s and therefore couldn’t confidently represent them anymore,” said Aslam.

Aslam has been unable to contact Chan since he sent the letter.

Chan is the third director to step down this term, following resignations from Justin Glover and Peter Hanna.
