Womenโ€™s hockey team 2-0

The Golden Hawksโ€™ womenโ€™s hockey team opened their season with a pair of wins on the weekend. On Saturday, the Hawks cruised to an 8-0 victory over Western and on Sunday they beat Windsor 3-1.

The Hawks continue their season this weekend with road games against Brock and Guelph.

Menโ€™s hockey team wins in Brantford

The Golden Hawksโ€™ menโ€™s hockey team defeated Windsor 4-2 on Saturday at the Brantford Civic Centre.

The game was the marquee event of the first homecoming celebration at Laurierโ€™s Brantford campus. The celebration also marked the 10 year anniversary of the campus.

Earlier in the week, the Hawks lost 5-4 in overtime to Waterloo, putting their record at 3-0-1.
