Results from second polls

Candidate support remains consistent following the second round of voting for the new party leader of the NDP. Thomas Mulcair remains in the lead receiving 38 per cent of the vote.

To be declared leader, a candidate must have 51 per cent of the vote.

Mulcair was followed by Brian Topp (25 per cent), Nathan Cullen (19 per cent) and Peggy Nash (16 per cent). Nash has been reported to drop out of the race following these results. She has remained neutral and is not supporting another candidate at this time.

The next round of voting will begin and 2:30 p.m. and close at 4:30 p.m.
