The lawyer representing the Crown Attorney’s Office David Russell explained that the Honourable Fiorella Heith has “imposed a ban on publication” of any material presented during these hearings.

Russell explained that this is customary in cases that are expected to go to trial, which Tomljenovic’s is.

The accused is being charged with Fraud Over $5000.

Tomljenovic severed as manager of the OneCard office until 2008, following an extensive audit of the office. The audit, conducted by external auditor’s KPMG, lasted for nearly four months – between November 2007 and February 2008.

A Freedom of Information request filed by The Cord in April 2008 was denied on the basis of “employee-related matters.”
