A SCS officer on foot patrol discovered damage at the a/m location. The Grad Pub door top panel had been smashed. Under investigation.

Property damage;

A SCS officer on foot patrol discovered that a stairwell entrance door located across from Health Services had been damaged. The lower portion of the door was bent inwards and both panes of glass had been broken. Under investigation.

Intoxicated person;

Location: Dr. Alvin Woods Building

SCS and ERT responded to a call of an intoxicated male at the entrance to the DAWB.
He was identified as a UW student and taken home by his friends to sober up.

Fraud;

Location: Parking Lot #21

SCS officers responded to a complaint of transportation fraud involving a local cab driver and his fare. A male and female had been dropped off at Willison Hall and the female had entered the building without paying the cab fare. The fare was partially paid by the male party. SCS is investigating.

A SCS officer on mobile patrol was flagged down by a local cab driver. He had an intoxicated male (WLU student) that was refusing to pay for his cab fare. The fare was paid in part and the responsible party was driven to his residence and left in the care of his R.L.A.C. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Public Intoxication.

A SCS officer and ERT responded to the a/m location for an intoxicated female student in her room. ERT provided assistance and she was left in the care of her room-mates. The matter will be dealt with by Residence Life.

Alarm;

SCS officers and the Waterloo Fire Dept. responded to a fire alarm at the a/m location. It was discovered that a smoke detector had been activated in a room on the 6th floor as a result of food accidentally being spilled on a stove element. All in order on departure.

Theft Under $5,000;
Date: Oct. 20, 2009 @ 2:30 p.m.;
Location: Residence

An unknown male had entered the Lounge at the a/m location and stole an XBOX 360 video game system. This occurred on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 and was not reported until three days later. SCS is investigating.

Attempt break and enter;
Date: Oct. 20, 2009 @ 3:15 p.m.;
Location: 181 Lodge St.

SCS is investigating a report of an attempt entry at the a/m location whereby someone had pried at the dead bolt on a door on the south side of the house. Entry was not gained.

Injured/Sick person;

Location: FNCC, 24 Hour Lounge

A SCS officer, Waterloo Fire Dept. and EMS responded to a call for assistance at the a/m location in relation to a female that had passed out. EMS checked her physical and medical condition. No further medical assistance required. All in order on departure.

Suspicious vehicle;

Location: Parking Lot 3A

A complaint was received of two subjects selling stereo equipment out of their vehicle at the a/m location. SCS officers responded but the vehicle had left upon their arrival. W.R.P.S. and UW were notified.

Assault;
Date: Oct. 21, 2009 @ 1:00 a.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS officers responded to an assault complaint made by a female student at the a/m location. She had been in the area looking for some lost keys when she was accosted by a group of males and had been pushed and threatened by one of them. She was not injured. The responsible party (WLU student) was located and the matter will be dealt with by Residence Life.

A SCS officer responded to a burglary alarm at the a/m location and discovered that the alarm had been accidentally activated by a staff member.

Alarm;

A SCS officer responded to the a/m location regarding a burglary alarm that had been activated. On arrival it was discovered that a charitable organization using the facilities had accidentally set off the alarm. All in order.

Theft under $5,000;

Location: Residence

SCS officers are investigating the report of the theft of a pay telephone from the main floor lobby which occurred sometime on Saturday night, Oct. 17, 2009. The matter is under investigation.

Drugs;
Date: Oct. 22, 2009 @ 11:35 p.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS officers responded to a student residence on the 6th floor at the a/m location in relation to drug usage. A duty don had detected the smell of marihuana in the hallway. A small quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia was seized. No charges were laid but the offending student will be dealt with by residence life.

Injured/sick person;

SCS officers and EMS responded to a call for assistance in relation to a student that was injured. Further investigation revealed that an intoxicated male student had smashed a window in an apartment at the a/m location and had sustained severe cuts to his arm and leg. He was transported to Grand River Hospital for treatment and the matter will be dealt with by residence life.

Drugs;

A duty don conducting a patrol of the second floor at the a/m location discovered a small plastic bag on the floor containing a small amount of marihuana. The drugs were turned over to SCS for destruction.

Break and enter;
Date: Oct. 23, 2009 @ 7:33 p.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS officers are investigating a report of a break in at a student’s room on the 3rd floor at the a/m location. This occurred in late afternoon when the room was vacant and the suspect(s) had forcibly opened the door causing considerable damage. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Fire alarm;
Date: Oct. 24, 2009 @ 11:15 p.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS officers and the Waterloo Fire Department responded to a report of a fire alarm pull station that had been activated at the a/m location. Within minutes a 19-year old WLU student was arrested in the nearby vicinity and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with making a false fire alarm. He was taken to WRPS and lodged in the cell overnight.

A SCS officer responded to a complaint of a number of people drinking alcohol and making excessive noise at the a/m location. The group was dispersed by the officer and the alcohol was disposed off.

Unwanted contact;

SCS is investigating a complaint from a female employee at the a/m location regarding some unwanted correspondence from a secret admirer. Matter under investigation.

Injured/Sick person;

A SCS officer and ERT responded to a report of an injured person at the a/m location. A male student had cut his right finger on a tin can. He was treated by ERT for the injury.

Property damage;

Location: Rear Parking Lot, 232 King St. N.

A SCS officer on mobile patrol discovered that his personal vehicle and that of another SCS officer had sustained damages overnight while parked at the a/m location. The vehicles sustained damage by a male suspect kicking the exterior rear view mirrors and doors. This act of vandalism was captured on CCTV camera. The matter is under investigation.
