Man pronounced deceased after uptown stabbing

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday Sept. 22, Waterloo Region Police received reports of an incident at King Street and Bridgeport Road. Thirty minutes following the incident, a male had been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries before being pronounced deceased at 6:30 a.m. 

One individual has been arrested, and as of 9:00 a.m. Waterloo Regional Police are still at the scene of the crime.
