Malizia named All-Canadian

On Wednesday, Heather Malizia, of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks’ women’s soccer team, was named a second-team Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) All-Canadian.

Malizia was one of the Hawks’ top offensive weapons all-season, finishing the regular season with seven goals, good enough for 6th in Ontario. The midfielder becomes the first member of the women’s soccer team to earn All-Canadian status since 2003 when midfielder Tammy Scurr achieved the honour.
