Laurier women’s soccer loses to Western in shortened game

/

Today, the Laurier/Western womenโ€™s soccer match was abandoned thirty-five minuets into the second half due to lightening. The score at this time was 3-0 for Western, making for Laurierโ€™s first defeat of the season.

โ€œI donโ€™t think the score was reflective of the game,โ€ said Laurierโ€™s head coach, Barry MacLean. โ€œWe were out shooting them considerably today and I think we outplayed them for the most part.โ€

Tomorrow, Laurier womenโ€™s soccer team plays their eighth game of the season against Windsor.
