Laurier women’s soccer loses to Western in shortened game

Today, the Laurier/Western women’s soccer match was abandoned thirty-five minuets into the second half due to lightening. The score at this time was 3-0 for Western, making for Laurier’s first defeat of the season.

“I don’t think the score was reflective of the game,” said Laurier’s head coach, Barry MacLean. “We were out shooting them considerably today and I think we outplayed them for the most part.”

Tomorrow, Laurier women’s soccer team plays their eighth game of the season against Windsor.
