Laurier falls behind in Gryphons match up

The Golden Hawks fell short of victory yesterday afternoon in a game against the Guelph Gryphons.

The Hawks endured a scoreless first half and pushed towards a comeback, closing the lead to six points toward the end of the game, but the Gryphons held strong finishing with 24 to Laurier’s 14.

Moving forward from the loss, the Golden Hawks are still able to clinch second place in the OUA and secure a playoff spot pending the outcome of next week’s match up with McMaster (and a Western victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees.)

Laurier will host McMaster next weekend at University Stadium, kick-off will take place at 1 p.m.
