The Laurier community mourns loss of James (Jim) Overboe. An associate professor in the Faculty of Arts, Overboe was a beloved member of the Laurier faculty.
Known as a selfless friend alongside his generous nature, Overboe pursued a Bachelor of Social Work degree at King’s College, Master of Arts degree at the University of Victoria and PhD at the University of British Columbia before arriving at Laurier in 2005.
Those who knew Overboe are encouraged to send a message to the family at the Falconer Funeral Homes website. A celebration of Overboe’s life will be held at a later date.
