Woman arrested for biting
On March 15, police arrested and charged a 25-year-old woman with extortion for threatening to bite two men.

The threats, including infecting the men with a disease as a result of biting them, were made when the suspect attempted to mug them on March 9 and 10. Neither of the men were injured, however one did hand over money to the suspect.

University students robbed
Two men were arrested after robbing three university students of their money and cell phones on March 14.

The robbery occurred near Albert and Hickory Streets around 4 a.m. The suspects demanded the students hand over their cell phones while using a tree branch to intimidate them. The victims were not hurt and their property was returned.

Bus shelters vandalized
26 bus shelters around Waterloo Region were vandalized last weekend. The cost of the damage is estimated to be between $25,000 and $35,000.

The cost of repairs and clean-up will be covered by Pattison Advertising.

No arrests have been made. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Waterloo Regional Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
