Following their heart-breaking homecoming loss to Ottawa last weekend, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks menโ€™s football team got back on track on Thanksgiving Saturday, beating the Windsor Lancers 37-20.

Leading the way for the Hawks was their running game, which racked up a total of 397 yards. Running back Mike Montoya got back into form, rusing for 207 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.

Quarterback Evan Pawliuk added three touchdowns and 202 yards through the air as the Hawks racked up 595 yards of total offence.

This win puts the Hawks at 4-2, tied with the Ottawa Gee Gees and the McMaster Marauders for third place in the provincial standings.
