SCS is investigating the theft of several gift cards from a student. The cards went missing from his room.

SCS officers and the Waterloo Fire Dept. responded to a fire alarm at the location. It was discovered that the smoke from a Native American Smudging Ceremony was the cause of the alarm.

SCS officers are investigating the theft of some jewelry from a students’ handbag that had been placed in an unsecured locker during her work out.

SCS is investigating the theft of a set of keys, both personal and university from a classroom at the a/m location.

Injured/Sick Person; Date: March 30, 2010 @ 11:59 p.m.;
Location: University Stadium

SCS and ERT responded to a report of an injured male party. The victim had dislocated his shoulder while participating in an indoor soccer match in the gymnasium. He was taken to Grand River Hospital for treatment.

A SCS officer escorted an unwanted male person off campus after complaints had been received that he was approaching students and speaking to them about religion.

A 20-yearold male suffered a fainting spell, collapsed to the floor and sustained a slight abrasion to his left hand. He declined any medical treatment.

A SCS officer on patrol discovered some graffiti that had been scrawled on a Stop sign on Mid Campus Drive.

Several local youths found skateboarding at the a/m location were located by a SCS officer, were warned about prohibited activity and sent on their way.

SCS and Waterloo Fire Dept. responded to a fire alarm at the location and discovered a smoke detector that had been tampered with causing it to be activated.

Location: Fred Nichols Campus Centre, Wilf’s Pub

A 20-year-old female was removed from the pub by SCS officers due to her intoxicated condition. She was taken home by SCS officers and left in the care of her friends.

By-Law Complaint; Date: March 31, 2010 @ 2:35 a.m.;
Location: Mid Campus Drive

Acting on a complaint of someone urinating and removing a manhole cover in the area, SCS officers located and dealt with an intoxicated 18 year old male. He was warned about his actions and sent on his way.

Offensive graffiti written on the wall was discovered in one of the washrooms. It has been removed by Physical Resources.

Drugs; Date: March 31, 2010 @ 3:33 p.m.;
Location: Residence

Acting on a complaint of drug usage in a student residence, SCS attended and confiscated a small amount of marihuana and drug paraphernalia. A 29-year-old male will be dealt with by Residence Life for an illegal substance violation. Another 28 year old male (non-student) was evicted and issued a trespass notice.

SCS is investigating the theft of a student’s drivers licence taken from her purse. The incident allegedly occurred earlier in the year.

MVC – H and Run; Date: March 31, 2010 @ 7:40 p.m.;
Location: Parking Lot 3A

SCS investigated a minor motor vehicle collision between two vehicles whereby one vehicle struck another parked vehicle and left the scene. The investigation was turned over to W.R.P.S.

Location: University Stadium

A 20-year-old male sustained a minor knee injury during an intramural handball game. He was treated on scene by ERT and did not require any further medical treatment.

Theft Under $5000; Date: March 31, 2010 @ 8:57 p.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS is investigating the theft from a motor vehicle parked in the underground parking garage. The suspect(s) stole a small amount of coinage, a computer printer and Ipod music tuner.

Alarm; Date: April 1, 2010 @ 3:14 a.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS and Waterloo Fire Dept. responded to a fire alarm at the location and discovered that a fire alarm pull station had been purposely activated within the building. There was no fire and no damage. SCS is investigating.

Drugs; Date: April 1, 2010 @ 3:38 a.m.;
Location: Residence

A SCS officer dealt with an 18-year-old male and female for drug and alcohol related infractions. The offenders will be dealt with by Residence Life.

Acting on a complaint of drug usage in a student residence, SCS attended and dealt with an 18-year-old male and two 20 year old males. Drug paraphernalia was located and seized for destruction. The males will be dealt with by Residence Life for an illegal substance violation.

A 22-year-old female was treated by ERT and EMS after suffering from a seizure. She was assessed by EMS and taken home to her residence. No further medical assistance was required.

Alarm; Date: April 1, 2010 @ 12:54 p.m.;
Location: 202 Regina St.

A panic alarm was accidentally activated by one of the employees. SCS responded and found everything to be in order.

Fire; Date: April 2, 2010 @ 12:22 a.m.;
Location: Residence

SCS is investigating a report of a male person attempting to start a small fire outside at the south end of the student residence. The suspect was caught in the act by a patrolling Don doing an outer perimeter check. Suspect is described as: M/W, short blonde/brown hair, 20 yrs, wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball hat with white writing on it. He fled on foot when spotted.

An 18-year-old WLU student was issued a Provincial Offence Notice by SCS for drinking under age.

A SCS officer on foot patrol discovered a broken window in the west stairwell on the 3rd floor. A large exterior window had been shattered by person(s) unknown by throwing rocks.

A SCs officer on foot patrol discovered some vandalism in the men’s washroom. Person(s) unknown had removed a stall door from its’ hinges and left it on the floor.

A SCS officer on foot patrol discovered some vandalism outside of The Schlegel Centre. Person(s) unknown had smashed out the WLU logo sign in the outdoor directory sign.

Fire; Date: April 3, 2010 @ 2:17 p.m.;
Location: University Stadium

SCS officers and Waterloo fire Dept. responded to a small fire in the bleachers. Several boards in a seating area received minor burnt damage. It’s unknown how the fire got started. Extremely high winds at the time could have carried a live cigarette butt.

that a fire alarm pull station had been purposely activated by person(s) unknown by one of the exit doors.

A SCS officer while reviewing some CCTV camera footage discovered a theft taking place from the DAWB. A male suspect is captured on camera stealing a cautionary (wet floor) safety sign from the front entrance to the building.

A SCS officer on mobile patrol discovered some vandalism on Mid Campus Drive. Person(s) unknown had unsuccessfully attempted to remove a ‘No Parking – Fire Route’ sign from a post. The sign was damaged in the process.
