Men’s hockey loses second straight

LONDON, Ont. — Golden Hawks starter Ryan Daniels allowed seven goals on 57 shots as the Western Mustangs thrashed Laurier’s men’s hockey team 7-2 on Friday night.

Rookies Thomas Middup and Alexander Poulter tallied for Laurier in an otherwise miserable visit to London while former Sudbury Wolves defenceman Brandon Greenside paced the Mustangs with a goal and two assists.

Dynamic former Dallas Stars third round draft pick Aaron Snow had two goals and ex-London Knights’ captain Scott Aarssen picked up the game winning goal 6:42 into the second period en route to the rout.

The Golden Hawks return home Saturday night as they seek their second win of the season against Brock.
