20-year-old charged for tampering with a drink at a Waterloo bar
On Friday, Sept. 14, the Waterloo Region Police Services (WRPS) arrested and charged a 20-year-old male for “administering a noxious substance” into someone’s drink at a bar in Uptown Waterloo.
“The substance was never consumed and no one was injured as a result of his actions,” a police statement said. WRPS also want to remind patrons to be aware of where they leave their beverages at establishments and to check them before consumption.
Police are searching for any potential victims of the incident on Sept. 14 or any other incidents that may have occurred since the beginning of September. Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Division Detectives at 519-653-770 ext. 6332.
