Student dies after being struck by vehicle

Wilfrid Laurier University student Siqi Wang died earlier this week after being struck by a vehicle in Waterloo.

Wang, 20, was hit by a car Monday evening while crossing the street after getting off a bus at Fischer Hallman Road.

According to a statement released by the university, Wang was a business student and has completed the Laurier English and Academic Foundations program in Brantford.

A visitation for Wang will take place at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo this Sunday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
