Pedestrian hit by vehicle in front of Career Centre

At approximately 2:45 in the afternoon, a pedestrian crossing King Street right by the Career Centre at Wilfrid Laurier University was struck by a dark navy Mercedes. The driver of the vehicle, who didn’t want to disclose her name, said that she was driving down the street, slowed down and honked and then slightly hit the pedestrian.

According to the driver, injuries prove minor. “She’s fine, she’s just in shock,” she said.

Waterloo Region Police Services refused to comment. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
