/

At approximately 2:45 in the afternoon, a pedestrian crossing King Street right by the Career Centre at Wilfrid Laurier University was struck by a dark navy Mercedes. The driver of the vehicle, who didnโ€™t want to disclose her name, said that she was driving down the street, slowed down and honked and then slightly hit the pedestrian.

According to the driver, injuries prove minor. โ€œSheโ€™s fine, sheโ€™s just in shock,โ€ she said.

Waterloo Region Police Services refused to comment. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
