Local MP named Deputy Government Whip

/

On June 7th, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced the governmentโ€™s caucus leadership team. Harold Albrecht, Member of Parliament for Kitchener-Conestoga, was named Deputy Government Whip, a position he held in the previous Parliament.

In this position, Albrecht will ensure party discipline in a legislature, making sure members vote according to official party policy. Albrecht will continue to act as a liaison for his caucus colleagues, ensuring they are able to attend events in their riding, receive appropriate committee assignments, and are present for crucial votes.

This is Albrechtโ€™s second term in parliament.
