Wilfrid Laurier Universityโ€™s department of geography and environmental studies is currently hosting International Geography Awareness Week.

A variety of events and demonstrations are taking place between Nov. 16 and 20.

The week consists of surveys, displays, guest speakers and demonstrations.

These events included a meteorological equipment demonstration, which took place on Monday at 11:15 a.m. in the courtyard between the Dr. Alvin Woods and Arts buildings.

On Tuesday, there was a surveying instrument display.

Several geographers were also on campus with trivia questions and prizes.

Serving the Waterloo campus, The Cord seeks to provide students with relevant, up to date stories. Weโ€™re always interested in having more volunteer writers, photographers and graphic designers.
