Rapid transit is coming to Waterloo Region. After eight years of research, discussion and arguments, both for and against, regional councillors voted yes on the rapid transit motion at a council meeting Wednesday night. The result of the vote was nine in favour, two opposed, with the two opposed being Waterloo mayor Brenda Halloran and Claudette Millar, a councillor from Cambridge.
