September 20th-Novemeber 30th: Laurier FREE Film Series:

Up until Novemeber 30th, take part in being with the WLU Film society, and the Dean of Arts Office, as they present Friday night movies titled “Flash/back: Memory on Film” where a Laurier faculty member or PhD student will provide insight of what the movie is about. Theses movies are being shown in memory of what has either been able to engage, and keep on engaging, or be a “cultural memory.”

 Teaching in the Canadian Classroom:

 Up until November 21st, you can have the chance to teach in front of people who may be from a different culture. Teaching assistants and graduate students are able to learn how to present more effectively by enhancing their teaching and intercultural communication skills. The workshop allows you to speak for 10 minutes with a topic of your choosing.

 Educational Development:

 Head to the Library Learning Lab on the 1st floor up until November 20th to spend some time with academic colleagues and peers from different areas. By doing so, you can share experiences, best practices, and lessons that deal with the use of technologies in teaching.
