Theft Over $5000; Location: Nichols Centre Quad; Reported: Sept. 7 @ 3:19 a.m.
A WLUSU staff member reported the theft of a rented golf cart from the Nichols Centre Quad. Video surveillance of the quad showed four individuals standing near the cart. Approximately 10 minutes later, video showed the cart being driven from the quad area at a high rate of speed heading towards Bricker Ave. The cart was found on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at approximately 4:03 a.m. near the main entrance to the Peters Building. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 7 @ 11:06 p.m.
A special constable responded to the new residence (which residence?) after receiving a report of a female stuck in the elevator who was feeling faint and dehydrated. A short time later the occupants of the elevator were released. Some were treated by ERT for dehydration.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 8 @ 1:32 a.m. A special constable and ERT responded to the west stairwell of a residence after receiving a report of a severely intoxicated male. On arrival, a male student was found seated on the floor amongst several pools of vomit. His speech was incoherent and he was having difficulty remaining seated in an upright position. Witnesses reported that the individual had consumed about 15 shots of alcohol in a 45 minute time period at an off campus location. EMS was called and the male was subsequently transported to hospital by ambulance for severe intoxication.

Graffiti; Location: Nichols Centre Quad; Reported: Sept. 8 @ 6:28 a.m. Person(s) unknown chiseled graffiti into the new retaining wall between MacDonald House and the Theatre Auditorium.

Drugs; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 8 @ 3:00 p.m.
A special constable attended a room at a residence after receiving a report of an odour of burning marijuana. The occupant of the room admitted to smoking the substance in his room. Investigation revealed that he was in possession of what turned out to be 33.9 grams of the substance. The drugs and a bong were seized.

Liquor Offence; Location: Parking Lot 4; Reported: Sept. 8 @ 8:23 p.m.
While on foot patrol, a special constable observed two males in lot 4 with open alcohol. The matter was turned over to residence staff who will deal with the individuals.

Liquor Offence; Location: Parking Lot; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 4:29 p.m.
Two underage males were observed in possession of alcohol. They were turned over to residence staff to be dealt with.

Break and Enter; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 8:30 p.m.
Person(s) unknown stole a potted plant through an open window at a residence. A male had been observed in the area carrying a potted plant but the witness was unable to provide a description.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 10:04 p.m.
ERT and a special constable responded to a residence after receiving a report of a very intoxicated female student who was vomiting. The student was escorted back to her residence and left in the care of a residence don.

Arrest; Location: Nichols Center Quad; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 10:45 p.m.
A male WLU student was arrested by regional police at the O-Week party for severe intoxication. He passed out and vomited in the rear of the police cruiser and was subsequently transported to hospital by ambulance.

Disturbance; Location: Parking Lot; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 11:20 p.m.
A special constable and ERT responded to the O-Week party line up to investigate a report of someone throwing rocks. A female was struck in the neck and nose sustaining minor injuries. She was treated by ERT and was taken home by friends. No suspects were identified.

Unwanted Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 11:23 p.m.
Special constables attended a residence in response to a report of a male who would not vacate the premises. The male claimed that his sister was a resident in the building; that she was ill and he wanted to check on her. Special constables checked on the female and found her to be intoxicated. She was left in the care of a don. The male eventually left the residence.

A special constable attended at the third floor women’s washroom at the Nichols Centre regarding an intoxicated female. She was spoken to by officers and subsequently escorted home by her don & Foot Patrol.

Drugs; Location: Residence Parking Lot; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 12:05 a.m.
Special constables were called to the rear parking lot at King St. Residence by residence staff regarding a non WLU male in possession of marijuana and alcohol. The male ran from the area before officers arrived. A short time later, special constables were called back again as the male had returned but was now inside the building on the first floor. The male was checked and subsequently evicted from the premises.

By-law Complaint; Location: Aird Building; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 12:22 a.m.
A male was issued with a provincial offence notice when he was observed urinating on the east side of the Aird Building near Conrad Hall.

Arrest; Location: Little House Underpass; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 12:25 a.m.
A Special Constable attended at the underpass between Little House A and B Wing regarding a report of an un-cooperative intoxicated male who would not leave when asked to by residence staff. The individual was arrested and transported by Regional Police.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Athletic Complex; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 4:20 p.m.
A special constable and ERT were dispatched to the Athletic Complex regarding a female having a seizure. She was treated by ERT and subsequently went home to rest.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Athletic Complex; Reported: Sept. 9 @ 4:44 p.m.
ERT and a Special Constable responded to a report of an injured female at the Athletic Complex. The female had sprained both ankles the night before and aggravated the injury on this occasion. She was taken home by the Foot Patrol van.

Liquor Offence; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 12:32 a.m.
A provincial offence notice was issued to an individual who was intoxicated outside Residence and creating a disturbance.

Assistance Call from Public; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 10:20 a.m.
Special Constable Service received a call from a concerned parent who had not heard from her daughter in the last 24 hours. The student was located in her room and explained that she had spent the night at a friend’s house. She was advised to contact her parents.

Drugs; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 2:20 p.m.
A Special Constable assisted residence staff. A “bong” was seized from a room at a residence. The matter is being dealt with by residence staff.

Assist Other Service; Location: Parking Lot 10; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 3:20 p.m.
Special Constables assisted Regional Police with a vehicle theft investigation. Regional Police reported that the “GRAND RIVER CAR SHARE” vehicle had been reported stolen but had since been recovered. They requested Special Constable Service review video footage of the area on campus where the vehicle is usually parked. The surveillance video indicated that the car had not been parked in the designated spot during the time frame in question.

A provincial offence notice was issued to an individual in lot 1 for a liquor violation.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Parking Lot 4; Reported: Sept. 10, 2009 @ 12:45 a.m.
Special Constables and ERT attended at lot 4 in response to a report of a male student who had fallen and struck his head. ERT treated a small cut and was taken home by friends.

Alarm; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 3:04 a.m.
Special Constables and Waterloo Fire Department attended at a Residence in response to a fire alarm. A fire extinguisher had been discharged on the 7th floor and the fire hose pulled out from the wall cabinet. A resident of the 7th floor reported seeing the person responsible but was unable to identify them as they were not from that floor. Various residents were interviewed with negative results. Investigation continues.

A student who was preparing to evacuate a residence during a fire alarm injured her head when she struck her head on a shelving unit. She was transported to a hospital to be checked out.

Assist Other Service; Location: King St & University Ave; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 6:19 a.m.
Special Constables assisted Regional Police with traffic control at a motorcycle accident at the intersection of King St and University Ave. There were injuries to the riders and extensive damage to the motorcycle. Regional Police investigated.

Intoxicated Person; Location: Nichols Campus Centre; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 9:14 p.m.
A Special Constable dealt with an intoxicated male outside Wilf’s. The individual was escorted to his residence by Foot Patrol. Residence staff will deal with him.

Intoxicated Person; Location: 232 King; Reported: Sept. 10 @ 10:46 p.m.
A Special Constable dealt with an intoxicated 1st year student at the rear of 232 King. He was returned to his residence and given into the care of residence staff.

Intoxicated Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 3:35 a.m.
A provincial offence notice was issued to a male who was unsteady on his feet in the middle of the roadway at a residence. The individual was un-cooperative, argumentative and had been giving residence staff a difficult time.

Assist Other Service; Location: King St.; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 3:12 a.m. Regional Police requested Special Constables assist with a WLU student who had been giving them a hard time. He had falsely identified himself after being stopped for a liquor violation. In lieu of charges Regional Police requested the student be brought before the Judicial Affairs Council for his actions.

A provincial offence notice was issued to a male who was observed urinating in the parking lot at the rear of 232 King.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 12:35 a.m.
A Special Constable and ERT attended a Residence regarding an intoxicated female. She was conscious but unaware of the date or where she was. An ambulance was called and she was transported to hospital for suspected excessive alcohol consumption.

Property Damage; Location: 202 Regina; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 4:50 a.m.
Person(s) unknown broke 3 windows at 202 Regina. No entry was gained as only the outer panes of glass were broken. No suspects.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Athletic Complex; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 1:02 p.m.
A Special Constable and ERT responded to the Athletic Complex after receiving a report of a female student who had struck her head. The student had actually struck her head at her residence and walked to the Athletic Complex with a friend to attend a lacrosse practice. She was treated by ERT and taken back to her residence by Special Constable Service and left in the care of a friend.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Athletic Complex; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 10:03 p.m. A Special Constable and ERT attended at the Athletic Complex at the request of a female student complaining of a sore and swollen throat. She was given oxygen by ERT and taken to her residence accompanied by a friend.

Theft under $5000; Location: 88 Seagram Dr.; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 10:09 p.m. Special Constables dealt with individuals on Seagram Dr in possession of stolen property. They were UoW students and UoW Special Constables were called to deal with them.

Unwanted Person; Location: Alumni Field; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 10:50 p.m.
A non WLU male was requested to leave the premises because of problems he had been causing. No further action was necessary.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Residence; Reported: Sept. 11 @ 11:01 p.m.
Special Constables and ERT attended at a residence after receiving a report of a female student intoxicated and vomiting in a 3rd floor washroom. She was attended to by ERT and left in the care of a don and another student.

Injured/Sick Person; Location: Nichols Center Lounge; Sept. 12 @ 2:21 p.m.
A Special Constable attended at the 24 Hour Lounge in the Nichols Centre regarding a student who was not feeling well and has a history of heart palpitations. She refused to go to hospital. She was checked by ERT and deemed well enough to be escorted to her residence where someone was going to check on her regularly.

Alarm; Location: Arts E Wing; Reported: Sept. 12 @ 8:37 p.m.
A special constable responded to an alarm from room 1E1 in the Arts Building. On arrival all appeared in order. The cause of the alarm was undetermined.

Intoxicated Person; Location: Parking Lot 6; Reported: Sept. 12 @ 11:33 p.m.
Special Constables dealt with an intoxicated male in lot 6. He was turned over to residence staff.

Disturbance; Location: Lester & Seagram Dr; Reported: Sept. 12 @ 12:59 a.m.
Special Constables responded to a report of 2 males fighting on Lester St across from Heidleberg House. The altercation had moved to Seagram Dr when officers arrived. The combatants were separated but one of the males continued to be aggressive. Regional Police were called for assistance. Investigation revealed that the fight was consensual and injuries were minor. No charges were laid and the males were sent on their way.

Special Constables responded to a residence after receiving a report of damage done to a vehicle parked there. Witnesses pointed out a suspect who was subsequently charged for mischief by Regional Police.

Theft Under $5000; Location: Nichols Centre; Reported: Sept. 13 @ 3:49 p.m.
Person(s) unknown stole a backpack from the 3rd floor community space in the Nichols centre. No suspects.
