Property Damage;

A SCS officer on mobile patrol discovered some vandalism in front of 209 Regina St. An eight foot high ornamental tree on the front lawn had been kicked over partially uprooted and laying on the ground. Matter is under investigation by SCS.

Fraud;

SCS is investigating the theft of a One Card and its’ fraudulent usage at various locations on campus.

A 22 year old male sustained a broken little finger while playing flag football. SCS and ERT attended. He was treated by ERT and transported to Grand River Hospital for further treatment.

A 21-year-old male student playing Frisbee sustained a serious foot injury after he jumped in the air and landed awkwardly on his foot. The big toe on his right foot was partially severed. He was taken to Grand River Hospital for medical treatment where the toe was reattached.

A Guelph High School student (male) while playing in a rugby tournament was injured during a play. He had fallen to the ground and lost consciousness. He was taken to Grand River Hospital via EMS for observation and treatment.

SCS is investigating the theft of a backpack containing four Library books. The theft occurred on Feb. 26 but was not reported at that time.

SCS is investigating the theft of several items taken by a male suspect from the Bookstore. The suspect was captured on camera. The matter is under investigation by SCS.

A 22-year-old female suffered a fainting spell in one of the classrooms. She was taken to Health Services by SCS for observation and treatment.

A 21-year-old male suffered a fainting spell in one of the classrooms. He was taken to Grand River Hospital by EMS for further treatment and observation.

SCS and Waterloo Fire Dept. responded to a fire alarm that had been activated at a residence. The source was located on the third floor where someone had overcooked some food in a pan on a stove setting off a smoke detector. No damage was reported.

Drugs;

SCS acting on a complaint of drug usage in one of the apartments ended up seizing some drug paraphernalia. The occupants who were not present at the time will be dealt with by Residence Life for an illegal substance violation.

SCS acting on a complaint of drug usage in one of the rooms ended up seizing a small amount of marihuana and drug paraphernalia. The occupant of the room will be dealt with by Residence Life for an illegal substance violation.

SCS acting on a complaint of drug usage in one of the rooms ended up seizing some drug paraphernalia. The room was unoccupied at the time, however the occupants will be dealt with by Residence Life for an illegal substance violation.

Four suspicious bank notes were discovered in the cash register and turned over to SCS. The bank notes were found to be counterfeit and turned over to W.R.P.S. for further investigation.

SCS responded to a panic alarm at the a/m location and discovered that an employee had accidentally set it off. All in order.

An 18-year-old male suffered a sprained ankle during a pickup basketball game. He was treated on the scene by ERT and taken home by SCS and a friend.

A 20-year-old male was issued a Provincial Offence Notice under the Trespass To Property Act for Enter Premises When Entry Prohibited. He had been barred from entering this residence on a previous occasion.

Fire;

Location: Foyer between John Aird Centre and Dining Hall

SCS and the Waterloo Fire Dept. attended to the a/m location in response to a complaint of smoke coming from this area. The source was discovered to be a malfunctioning heating unit in the ceiling which had started a small electrical fire. An on call trades person attended and disconnected the power source. Very minimal damage.

SCS is investigating an act of vandalism at the a/m location. Person(s) unknown smashed two separate windows in two of the doors leading into the Food Court.

SCS is investigating a report of two males discharging a fire extinguisher on the west side of the building. The suspects fled on foot when spotted by some passersby and discarded the fire extinguisher in a garbage dumster.

A 20-year-old female sustained a large cut on her right ankle as a result of jumping off a cart while working for The Hub. Upon landing she cut herself on a metal leg of the cart.

SCS is investigating a complaint of threats being received by means of text messages between two parties living in the same residence building.

WRPS Dispatch called SCS Dispatch reporting a 911 hang up call coming from a pay phone at the a/m location. SCS responded to the area but was unable to find anyone in distress.

Person(s) unknown tipped over a Coca Cola vending machine in the front lobby. Coca Cola was notified to check the machine for any damage. No attempt was made to enter the machine for coins.

A male party had approached a girl from behind and lifted up her skirt revealing her buttocks. SCS located the responsible party and he will be sent to the J.A.C. to be dealt with.

A student working with Foot Patrol discovered a license plate at the a/m location and turned it over to SCS. The licence plate turned out to be the one stolen off a parked WRPS cruiser last weekend on campus. It was returned to WRPS.

SCS responded to a call of a female having a diabetic seizure. Her condition was stabilized and she was left in the care of her friends. No further medical assistance was required.

A student reported that a rude comment had been written on his windshield with pizza sauce. The incident occurred over night. There are no suspects.

Officers observed a significant water leak in the roof, which was causing ceiling tile to fall and water to enter the main display area. Physical Resources was called in to attend to the situation.

A garbage bin was found smoking, caused by a paper coffee cup holder catching on fire. The responding officer controlled the situation with a fire extinguisher.
