Reed Collis disqualified from WLUSU election

Reed Collis was denied his appeal Jan. 27 and is currently awaiting the results of a second appeal.

According to an e-mail sent to The Cord from presidential candidate Reed Collis the candidate has been disqualified from the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union election.

Having reached 10 demerit points for breaking campaigning rules – including the distribution of unapproved campaign materials – Collis was recently informed that he was disqualified from the election.

The appeals committee met last night and denied the appeal that Collis filed.

In the e-mail sent to The Cord Collis stated that he has yet to hear back regarding the second appeal that he filed.

He also stated that the is now switching his campaign to "Write in Reed Collis For WLUSU President.”
